Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Heritage vs. Draughn

The Mountain Heritage Cougars will head out to face off against the Draughn Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain Heritage managed to keep up with Madison until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars came up short against the Patriots, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Mountain Heritage couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Kai'ana Stella, who's now up to 13 this season.

Meanwhile, Draughn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to R-S Central.

Draughn's loss dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Mountain Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3.

Mountain Heritage took their victory against Draughn when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
