Volleyball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Takes a Loss

Wyalusing Valley was the 1-0 winner over Abington Heights when they last played one another back in September of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets on Saturday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison Smith was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Abington Heights, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Looking ahead, Wyalusing Valley will head out to challenge Cowanesque Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abington Heights, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Scranton on the 20th.
