Blue Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 26-7 win over the Wade Hampton Generals on Friday. The Fighting Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.

Gavin Forrester threw for 95 yards on 11 of 17 attempts. Mitch Bobbitt was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Jakorey Dodd rushed for 90 yards and four touchdowns.

Wade Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Blue Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-19 victory against Polk County on the 5th. As for Wade Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 35-21 defeat against Easley on the 5th.
