Basketball Game Preview: Rich Township Raptors vs. Andrew Thunderbolts

The Rich Township Raptors will face off against the Andrew Thunderbolts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rich Township knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Andrew likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Rich Township came up short against Bloom and fell 71-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Raptors still had to take the loss.

Rich Township's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Al Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, and Jayden Williams, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 18 points. Brooks' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kavon Ammons, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points.

Even though they lost, Rich Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloom only two offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, Andrew had to suffer through a 74-47 loss at the hands of St. Rita. The Thunderbolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rich Township's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-8. As for Andrew, their loss dropped their record down to 13-18.
