Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Family Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Family was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Veritas Christian Eagles. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Molly Riddle paced Cornerstone Family's offense, picking up two kills. Riddle got some help from Brooke Manning and her two assists. Riddle also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Willa Swanson, racking up two apiece.

Cornerstone Family's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Veritas Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Cornerstone Family didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Flint Hills Christian on the 26th. As for Veritas Christian, they will head out to challenge Kansas School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
