Football Game Preview: West Hempstead Rams vs. North Shore Vikings

West Hempstead is 0-5 against North Shore since October of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings.

West Hempstead is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Plainedge two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rams were dealt a 56-20 defeat at the hands of the Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Red Devils are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, North Shore can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They strolled past East Rockaway with points to spare, taking the game 27-8.

West Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Shore, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.

West Hempstead and North Shore were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, but West Hempstead came up empty-handed after a 20-19 defeat. Thankfully for the Rams, Nicholas La Rosa (who rushed for 112 yards and two scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
