Volleyball Recap: Mathews Takes a Loss

Mathews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pymatuning Valley Lakers. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Lakers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

HUNTER RAMSEY paced Mathews' offense, picking up 12 kills. RAMSEY got some help from MADI DARLINGTON and her 11 assists. DARLINGTON was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mathews' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pymatuning Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Mathews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Harding on the 3rd. As for Pymatuning Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Grand Valley on the 3rd.
