Softball Recap: Southern Aroostook Has No Trouble Against Ashland

Southern Aroostook won the last time they faced Ashland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 17-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Brooke Shields made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Shields was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skyla Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Emma Stubbs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
