Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Grove Vikings. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Century saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Farness, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Forest Grove, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Century will welcome North Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Newberg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
