Soccer Game Preview: Westview vs. Hilltop

The Westview Wolverines will challenge the Hilltop Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Westview managed to keep up with Del Norte until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wolverines lost 3-0 to the Nighthawks. The loss continues a trend for Westview in their meetings with Del Norte: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Hilltop kept a clean sheet against Pacific Ridge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Firebirds 1-0.

Westview now has a losing record of 7-8-3. As for Hilltop, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11-7.

Westview beat Hilltop by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, winning 2-1. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
