Volleyball Recap: Calvary Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Calvary Christian came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Heritage Hawks by a score of 3-1. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

Calvary Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.

Calvary Christian found their leader in sophomore Josie Blake, who had six digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Blake.

Calvary Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Heritage, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will venture away from home to challenge Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will head out to face off against Dominion Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
