Kenston was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out the Mayfield Wildcats 3-2. The Bombers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Kenston now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Kenston will venture away from home to take on Cardinal at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.14 runs per game on average), something the Bombers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mayfield, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Nordonia at 11:00 a.m.
