Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeway vs. Raleigh-Egypt

The Ridgeway Roadrunners will head out to square off against the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Ridgeway and nine for Raleigh-Egypt.

Ridgeway fell victim to Kirby and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Ridgeway have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, Raleigh-Egypt also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Hillcrest on Wednesday.

Ridgeway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Ridgeway was able to grind out a solid win over Raleigh-Egypt when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Roadrunners repeat their success, or do the Pharaohs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
