Scranton and West Scranton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Knights will head out to take on the Invaders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Scranton managed to slip by Scranton Prep the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Cavaliers on Saturday, falling 11-3.

Scranton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thor Kelly, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. Another was Joe McIntyre, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, West Scranton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 16-6 to Abington Heights.

Jake Deluca was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season. Michael D'Augostine was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

West Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Scranton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Scranton was able to grind out a solid victory over West Scranton in their previous matchup back in April, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
