Basketball Game Preview: Rockwood Tigers vs. Oliver Springs Bobcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Rockwood Tigers challenge the Oliver Springs Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Rockwood lost to Wartburg Central on the road by a 41-23 margin. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Oliver Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-43 heartbreaker at the hands of Maryville Christian.

Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Oliver Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Rockwood strolled past Oliver Springs when the teams last played back in January by a score of 42-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
