DePaul Cristo Rey just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Despite the loss, DePaul Cristo Rey still got an impressive performance from Britain Starks, who scored 25 points. The game was Starks' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aimabale Niyongabo, who scored six points.
DePaul Cristo Rey bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for School for Creative Performing Arts, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul Cristo Rey will square off against Spring Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Valley Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than DePaul Cristo Rey in Ohio (Spring Valley Academy is ranked 49th, while DePaul Cristo Rey is ranked 359th). As for School for Creative Performing Arts, they will head out on the road to face off against Gamble Montessori at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
