Basketball Recap: Fulton Comes Up Short

Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Austin-East Roadrunners. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Roadrunners earlier this season, when they won 36-32.

Leading Austin-East to victory were Tymirrianna Brown and Ja'Onna Witt. Brown dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards, while Witt posted 14 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Austin-East's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karmen Tribble, who earned four points.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Austin-East, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Fulton has already played their next contest (against Alcoa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Austin-East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-39 defeat against Pigeon Forge on the 4th.
