D'Iberville scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Biloxi, 23-22. At the time, the Indians was ranked 11th in the state, while the Warriors was 26th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to D'Iberville, who took down 11th ranked Biloxi, 23-22.
John Shannon's team's dynamic duo of Jaylen Woullard and Scott Austin proved tough for Buddy Singleton's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Woullard threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and Austin had 108 yards receiving. Tevaris McCormick helped Biloxi's passing attack out by catching three balls for 25 yards.
Shane Ladner was the most productive running back in 6A Region 4 this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 71 yards as Hancock fell to the Warriors. Teammate Brycen Necaise added to the ground attack by rushing for 51 yards.
Wes Windham provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ocean Springs bested the Hawks. He completed 15 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 16 yards. Windham's favorite target this week was Ishmel Morrow, who caught four passes for 100 yards.
The Greyhounds' Windham and Morrow have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Windham has thrown for 1007 yards this season, while Morrow has 30 catches for 483 yards. Aaron Fairley from Hancock leads the league in rushing with 353 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Ocean Springs and D'Iberville. The Greyhounds enters the game ranked 22nd in the state, while the Warriors ranks eighth.
Two of the top units in 6A Region 4 will face off this week when Biloxi takes on George County. The Indians' offense has recorded 190 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Rebels have permitted only 167 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Ocean Springs takes on D'Iberville. The Greyhounds have allowed 87 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 29. Ocean Springs allowed 14 points last week as it defeated Rocky Gaudin's team.
Harrison Central moved up to 97 from 130 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Red Rebels climbed the ranks as a result of a 29-8 win over George County.
