Pilot Grove scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 93-79 fall against the Prairie Home Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Panthers are ranked 122nd).

Pilot Grove's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Prairie Home, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pilot Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Knob Noster at 7:45 p.m. on February 5th. As for Prairie Home, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Prairie Home Panthers duke it out with the Calvary Lutheran Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
