After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waterloo, Granite City was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Wesclin a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Granite City's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Granite City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wesclin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Granite City will welcome Triad at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wesclin, they will face off against Jersey at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jersey will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wesclin surely won't give up without a fight.
