Softball Recap: University School of Jackson Wins Going Away Against Fayette Academy

University School of Jackson not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 1, 2024. They blew past the Fayette Academy Vikings 21-10. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

Maddie Polk was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Kate Prater, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

University School of Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayette Academy only posted an OBP of .414.

The victory got University School of Jackson back to even at 2-2. As for Fayette Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Coming up, University School of Jackson will take on Lexington in a tournament on Saturday. As for Fayette Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-7 loss against St. George's on the 21st.
