Football Recap: Pea Ridge Comes Up Short

While it was Pea Ridge who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Alma who put up more. The matchup between the Blackhawks and the Airedales didn't end well, with the Blackhawks falling 35-20. The Blackhawks haven't had much luck with the Airedales recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samuel Schlegel, who rushed for 40 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 163 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards Schlegel has posted since back in October of 2024. Another signal caller making a difference was Jay Lemieux, who threw for 291 yards and one touchdown while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt.

Pea Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Alma, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
