Basketball Game Preview: Milford Tigers vs. Piute Thunderbirds

The Milford Tigers will challenge the Piute Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piute took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Milford, who comes in off a win.

Milford got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They took down Bryce Valley 46-28 on Tuesday.

Milford found their leader in sophomore Jaidyn Mcmullin, who went 8 for 17 en route to 21 points. Karsydi Vestch was another key player, putting up seven points.

Milford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Piute's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne.

Piute's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Milford, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
