Softball Recap: West Craven Has No Trouble Against North Pitt

West Craven never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the North Pitt Panthers 17-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Riley Dixon made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That hit marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, West Craven got a massive performance out of Izabella Sutton, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave Sutton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Jarman, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

West Craven's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for North Pitt, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

West Craven will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
