Fillmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Saugus Centurions, falling 31-6. The Flashes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-0.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Saugus, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Coming up, Fillmore will welcome Santa Paula at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Flashes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Saugus, they are taking a road trip to square off against Vasquez at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
