Softball Game Preview: Woodhaven Warriors vs. Anderson Titans

Woodhaven has gone 9-1 against Anderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Woodhaven will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Woodhaven made easy work of Trenton and carried off a 15-2 win. Considering the Warriors have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Natilee Pridemore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Woodhaven got a massive performance out of Brooklynn Bartos, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Bartos a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariel Krueger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Woodhaven always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trenton only posted an OBP of .167.

Meanwhile, Anderson fell victim to Allen Park and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 8-0.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Woodhaven, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.

Everything went Woodhaven's way against Anderson in their previous matchup back in April, as Woodhaven made off with a 17-3 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
