Football Game Preview: Franklin Pierce Cardinals vs. Clover Park Timberwolves + How To Watch

Franklin Pierce is 6-1 against Clover Park since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin Pierce has three straight victories, Clover Park has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Franklin Pierce didn't have too much trouble with Fife as they won 50-35.

Ja'Mire Ford produced another solid performance rushing for 241 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Jeremiah Orcutt was another key player, rushing for 93 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Clover Park fell victim to Orting and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 57-0 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Cardinals are ranked 50th).

Franklin Pierce's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Clover Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Franklin Pierce against Clover Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-0 victory. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Timberwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
