Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Shirpsen Jean and Baptiste T Lead Miami Beach to Victory

Miami Beach posted their closest win since January 17th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-55 victory over the Key West Conchs.

Leading Miami Beach to victory were Baptiste T and Shirpsen Jean. T posted 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Jean put up 20 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Rebhuhn, who had ten points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Miami Beach was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Key West only racked up eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Key West lost, don't look at James Osborne. Despite the final result, he went 13 of 23 on his way to 28 points and six boards. That was a full 50.9% of Key West's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Martinez, who put up six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Miami Beach's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Key West, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Miami Beach will host Hialeah Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hialeah Gardens is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season. As for Key West, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-77 victory against Manatee on the 14th.
