Softball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Christian Liberty

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harvest Christian Academy). They were the clear victors by a 32-22 margin over the Christian Liberty Chargers on Wednesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kenzie Weidman was incredible, firing off three stolen bases, eight RBI, and five runs while going 5-for-5. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Ella Schoenberg was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Harvest Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Harvest Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.3 runs over those games. As for Christian Liberty, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Harvest Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Wheaton Academy on the 2nd. As for Christian Liberty, they will be playing at home against St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
