Volleyball Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. North Surry Greyhounds
Surry Central lost against North Surry last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds.
Surry Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made North Surry work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 26-24.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenzie Hooker, who had 17 digs and one block. Hooker is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 21 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Presley Smith, who had 18 digs, 11 kills, and two blocks.
Leading North Surry to victory were Julie Anna Lawson and KK Adame. Lawson had 14 digs and two aces, while Adame had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most aces Lawson has posted over her last eight matches. KK Collins also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
