Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Hills Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Bloomfield Hills was the 2-0 winner over Detroit Country Day when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Hawks fell 3-1 to the Yellowjackets on Tuesday.

While Bloomfield Hills ultimately came up short, they really made Detroit Country Day work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 25-20, 27-25.

Allison Stakoe paced Bloomfield Hills' offense, picking up 23 kills. Stakoe got some help from Brynn Wilcox and her 41 assists. Stakoe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Bloomfield Hills' defeat ended a ten-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 33-5. As for Detroit Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bloomfield Hills and Detroit Country Day will both be playing Lake Orion the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will host the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Black Hawks will host them at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
