Basketball Recap: Tindley Comes Up Short

Tindley lost against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tindley Tigers took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Tindley still got an impressive performance from Ariauanna Hall, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. That was a full 67.7% of Tindley's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Macie Dill led the charge by going 8 of 20 en route to 18 points and eight boards. Dill is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zita Eke, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Tindley's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Tindley has already played their next game, a 49-23 win against KIPP Legacy on the 18th. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-30 defeat against Covenant Christian on the 22nd.
