            Softball Recap: Stevenson Pirates vs. Monte Vista Christian Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Stevenson had lost five straight at home, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-15 to make it six. They fell just short of the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs by a score of  5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by  just one  run.
 Nadia Patel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Ashley Dalhamer was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs.  Maria Hall was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
As for Monte Vista Christian, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record  this season. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for they.
 On Monte Vista Christian's side, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Addie Boles, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another  was  Ava Alvarado, who  earned one  run and two  stolen bases.
As of now, neither Stevenson nor Monte Vista Christian have any future games scheduled.
