Volleyball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cosby Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Zeina Elkority, who had nine digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high. Adela Trump also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Cosby, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Manchester is set to take on their familiar foe Monacan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cosby will square off against rival Richmond High School for the Arts at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
