Basketball Recap: New Hampstead Find Success

New Hampstead won the last time they faced St. Andrew and things went their way on Wednesday too. The New Hampstead Phoenix snuck past the St. Andrew's Lions with a 65-59 victory.

Despite the loss, St. Andrew's still got an impressive performance from Zayden Edwards, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Cari Glover, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

New Hampstead now has a winning record of 9-8. As for St. Andrew's, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.

New Hampstead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-50 win against Wayne County on the 10th. As for St. Andrew's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-39 victory against Pinewood Christian on the 10th.
