Baseball Recap: Carteret's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Carteret entered their tilt with East Brunswick Vo-Tech on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on East Brunswick Vo-Tech with a sharp 12-4 victory. The Ramblers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw East Brunswick Vo-Tech, too.

Luis Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Miles Ferreiras was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rashad Bennett, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Carteret's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.
