Volleyball Recap: Bennington Comes Up Short

Bennington suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Thursday. They came up short against the Elkhorn North Wolves, falling 3-0. The Badgers were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Bennington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-23.

Hayden Booth was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight aces, four digs, and one block. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 34 times she's played.

Bennington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Elkhorn North, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bennington will take on Standing Bear at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhorn North, they will square off against Gretna East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
