Softball Recap: Caprock Comes Up Short

Caprock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Krum Bobcats.

Caprock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annalyse Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Caprock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Krum, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caprock will face off against Tascosa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Krum, they will take on Whitesboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
