Basketball Recap: Mount Paran Christian's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

The Mount Paran Christian Eagles didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the North Cobb Warriors on Friday, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Warriors are ranked 201st).

Mount Paran Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for North Cobb, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Mount Paran Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-50 loss against Dacula on the 20th. As for North Cobb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-25 victory against Forsyth Central on the 20th.
