New Mexico Military Institute barely beat Dexter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

New Mexico Military Institute never let Dexter on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-20.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Melody Duran, who had three digs and two blocks.

New Mexico Military Institute's record now sits at 9-7. As for Dexter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.

New Mexico Military Institute will venture away from home to square off against Ruidoso at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dexter, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Tularosa on the 23rd.
