Basketball Game Preview: Colman-Egan C-E Hawks vs. St. Mary Cardinals

Colman-Egan is 1-9 against St. Mary since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Colman-Egan C-E Hawks will jump right back in to play the St. Mary Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Colman-Egan sitting on four straight wins and St. Mary on ten.

Colman-Egan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket by a score of 46-37.

Meanwhile, St. Mary humbled Sioux Falls Lutheran with a 73-43 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

St. Mary's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Colman-Egan, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Colman-Egan couldn't quite get it done against St. Mary in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 66-57. Can Colman-Egan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
