Softball Recap: First Flight Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northeastern last Friday, First Flight came back down to earth. The First Flight Nighthawks fell 4-0 to the Manteo Redskins on Tuesday. The Nighthawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, First Flight fell to 2-1. As for Manteo, their record now sits at 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Flight will square off against Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manteo, they will challenge Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
