Football Recap: Deland Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

DeLand hadn't done well against New Smyrna Beach recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs secured a 6-0 W over the Barracudas. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Barracudas back in March, they had to take a 26-6 defeat.

DeLand pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for New Smyrna Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

DeLand has already played their next game, a 7-0 win against University on the 7th. New Smyrna Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
