Basketball Game Preview: West Ottawa Panthers vs. East Kentwood Falcons

The West Ottawa Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the East Kentwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Ottawa knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Kentwood likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, West Ottawa escaped with a win against Grandville by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57.

Meanwhile, East Kentwood came up short against Rockford on Friday and fell 56-49. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Rams are ranked third).

West Ottawa is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for East Kentwood, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10.

West Ottawa came up short against East Kentwood in their previous meeting back in January, falling 76-71. Can West Ottawa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
