It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Clinton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Littleton Tigers. The Gaels haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Braydan Huban spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brian Silvester, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Nelson, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Littleton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Clinton will face off against Oakmont Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gaels 3.3, the Spartans 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Littleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
