Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove posted their closest win since January 5th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lemoore Tigers, sneaking past 54-51. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 595th, while the Tigers are ranked 278th).

Pleasant Grove's record now sits at 5-7. As for Lemoore, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Pleasant Grove will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Lemoore, they will challenge Sanger at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
