Baseball Recap: Osbourn Park Finds Home Field Redemption Against Langley

There's no place like home for Osbourn Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past the Langley Saxons 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since April 9, 2024.

Bobby Shearin and Cam Kim did most of the damage at the plate: Shearin scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Kim scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Lucas Duncan, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Osbourn Park's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Langley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Osbourn Park and Langley will both be playing Potomac Falls the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will host the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, while the Saxons will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
