Basketball Game Preview: Granger Lions vs. Bruceville-Eddy Eagles

Granger is 2-8 against Bruceville-Eddy since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Both will face off at 12:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Granger easily dispatched Prince of Peace on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Granger fell just short of Aquilla by a score of 40-37 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since January 9th.

Meanwhile, Bruceville-Eddy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Prince of Peace.

Bruceville-Eddy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Granger, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Everything came up roses for Granger against Bruceville-Eddy in their previous matchup back in November, as the team secured a 64-12 win. In that contest, Granger amassed a halftime lead of 29-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
