Softball Recap: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Helix Highlanders

Valhalla had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-15 to make it four. They lost 13-3 to the Helix Highlanders. The Norsemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Valhalla saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liliana Moscoso, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Wright continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Naviah Conchas, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Valhalla will take on Granite Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Helix, they will be playing at home against El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
