Basketball Game Preview: Brentsville District Tigers vs. Grafton Clippers

The Brentsville District Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Grafton Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Brentsville District heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 64-34 loss at the hands of James Monroe. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Payton Brown, who posted 11 points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Lynn Miller, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Grafton came tearing into Friday's contest with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 57-44.

Brentsville District's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Grafton, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.
